Is Your Home Suffering From Water Damage?

11-30-2011 3-35-21 PM

Despite how prepared you are as a homeowner, dealing with water damage can be a stressful and overwhelming endeavor. But with the right equipment, a bit of patience, and a whole lot of elbow grease, your home can be back to normal in virtually no time at all. And when it comes to water damage cleanup equipment, renting is definitely the way to go. Here’s why:

Save Money

Commercial dryers, radiant heaters, and other similar pieces of water damage cleanup equipment can cost hundreds and thousands of dollars, but it only takes a fraction of that to rent them. Flooding inside of your home has cost you enough already; don’t waste any more money buying equipment that you will (hopefully) only need once.

Save Time

In the event of a flood, the most important thing you can do to prevent further water damage is to act quickly. Fortunately, an equipment rental company will be ready to assist you as soon as you get in touch with them. Don’t waste valuable time running around town looking for a commercial dryer dealer when the equipment you need is just a phone call away.

Get the Job Done Right

If you want to protect your home from further water damage, then it’s important that you completely dry out your home. Any leftover moisture can weaken your home’s structural integrity and may also promote the growth of harmful mold and mildew. To get the job done right, you will need the right equipment, and renting is by far the easiest and most economical way to get the equipment you need.

If the unthinkable happens, A-1 Equipment Rental Center will be here to provide you with all the water damage cleanup equipment you need.  We have turbo dryers, radiant propane heaters, propane forced air heaters, and more. Benefits of Renting a Ladder for Your Next Building Project and Tips for Staying Safe

Damaged Roof Shingles Repair

Whether you’re building a deck or installing new shingling, you can count on needing a ladder for your next home renovation, addition, or repair project. High-quality ladders can be expensive, but renting allows you to reduce the cost of your project by hundreds of dollars. Also, ladders are quite big and bulky, and storing them can sometimes be a pain. When you rent a ladder, you don’t need to worry about finding room for long term storage; just simply return it when you’re done.

But before you set up your ladder and get to work, be sure that you understand how to safely use it. Here are some helpful ladder safety tips:

  • Read and follow all labels and markings on the ladder (especially the ladder’s load capacity).
  • When climbing up or down the ladder, always maintain 3-points of contact on the ladder (either two hands and a foot or two feet and a hand).
  • Always use a ladder only on a stable and level surface. If you are using an extension ladder, be sure that all locks are properly engaged.
  • Never place a ladder on boxes, barrels, or other unstable bases to obtain additional height. If you require additional height, then contact the equipment rental company to rent a longer extension ladder.
  • Never use a ladder during or immediately following inclement weather. After a rainstorm, be sure to that the steps or rungs are completely dry before you attempt to climb.

If you need a ladder, then don’t hesitate to contact A-1 Equipment Rental Center. Our extra heavy duty ladders come in a wide variety of sizes and are perfect for your next personal or professional building project. For pricing information, visit our website or dial (650) 369-2992.
